leave it at 10psi for now then.
you've stated before that you set base timing to 10, and when you plug the spout back in, it only goes up to 24. shop manual states tolerance is 30 deg +- 3 deg. (*during self test, pretty sure normal strategy as well, could someone _please_ validate this on a stock setup?) is still the case with the new TFI installed?
not to jump to conclusions, but, since this started after a timing/idle reset, i would take a close look a the TFI pigtail and see if there are any bad wires around there that might have been disturbed when the timing was reset. they can be sneaky.
