  • I think I found the source of my low compression.

    Compression test was 165, 25, 25, 165. No oil in the water no water in the oil so not too big a deal.

    That will do it and is a common area to have it blow.

      All back together and running well. More or less $50 to fix.

        Good work and to reiterate Mike, pretty common area to pop the gasket. Heck, even a former naturally aspirated 2.3L Mustang I had blew its head gasket in the same spot! So long as neither the block nor head decks were damaged, simply replace and go your own way. Make sure your ignition timing is set properly and all ignition items are up to snuff so you don't have to repeat sooner than later.

          It was caused by me adding boost without adding fuel. I was playing with a manual boost controller and cranked it up to see what would happen. I have gone back to the stock boost controller but I sure do miss those extra horsepower. lol

            That will certainly do it. Just drop in an adjustable FPR and get the 'fun' back ;-)

              A wide band 02 sensor will help you to keep that from happening again.
