  • Why does my boost/vac gauge vibrate?

If my engine is running below 2000 rpm, the boost/vacuum gauge vibrates bad, and vibrates a little above 10 psi of boost. WTF caused this? It didn't do it before, and it only started when my turbo studs were redone along with a new gasket.

Duck, check the vacuum hoses to the guage and from the bcv to the turbo for cracks and tighteness.

You might also have a weak intake valve or intake valve spring.

Time for a compression test. Better yet a leakdown test. The sooner the better. The longer you put it off, the more the repairs will cost.

          Oh noes!

But why would it start doing that after getting the turbo to manifold gasket replaced? It was fine before I did the Bob's header/3" exhaust, and I drove it for about a month before I had this done. I had to keep tightening the bolts up until then.
