Yeah, from what I've read from various places the hyper pistons are good as long as I don't have prolonged detonation. Either way, when I do start to go for more power with better injectors, computer, tuner, etc I'll get some performance pistons installed. As for the price, well, it was a bit more than I had expected. The motor itself was around $2300, but the installation and dozens of other little parts that needed to be replaced including a clutch put it all at a considerably higher price. All in all, I'd say it was worth it so far. *knock on wood

I hope installation was INCLUDED. i bought forged TRW psitons ,all arp hardware and had the block built by my local builder for 1150. the head ( i will admit i got a steal i think) cost me 600.00 for a used head, bigger valves, port polish(not flow tested), and associated machining and parts. I had the A237 cam from the old head.

Installation cost me 75.00 for a cherry picker 2 cases of bud lite and 2 packs of cigs.
Then again if your not familiar with installing an engine i can understand, but it doesn't get much easier given how small the enigne is and the engine bay.

Well as long as it runs good thats all that matter for now. If you start having problems with detonation at 15psi or more boost , then i would suspect wrong pistons, unless you visually saw the piston tops before they put the head on.

When i got my car it ran good, but not GREAT. once i fixed the engine (wrong pistons and blown turbo)and got other little bugs fixed the car runs AWESOME! Hopefully motion dynamics will make it even better.
