          Good looking work, Rod!
Have you done any testing on charge air temps, compressor discharge temps, water flow rates etc?

Sounds like a great idea to test the air temp aswell as the water temp. For the water pump,it is a high flow unit.As you seen the holding tank has 2 tubes in the middle for the dry ice for drag racing. The coolant temp in the tank will cool to about freezing (32deg F)with the dry ice in (thats on a 90deg F day)The hoses between the Intercooler and the holding tank are just like the air conditioning lines, they almost frost up.For the Intercooler itself, there are defusers plates welded in to equally spread the discharge air across the heater core.I can do a run and the Intercooler/Intercooler lines are still cold. When you leave the line, the Intercooler is ice cold,Air to Air is not. When your car is running 100mph+ the Air to Air Intercooler doesn't work, the Air rides over the car. With the dry ice setup, the Intercooler has constant cooling.
I will work on some type of sensors for reading the temp.

              Rod,

Have you finished this intercooler set up yet? I want one. (Do you have any Headers for sale?)

Beleive it or not the intercoolers in the 03-04 cobras and 99-04 lightings are made by Garrett. I have removed quite a few lightning and cobra intercoolers and they all say the same. They are very efficient intercoolers too. They can easily handle well over 800hp without doing anything to them except maybe a bigger heat exchanger.

theres a guy here that went awic on an xr4ti for autox. iirc he used an aftermarket piece but it was but a 944 porsche. it was pretty cool set up, he had the pump mounted under the passenger seat and the cooler on the floor in the back seat. i guess it worked pretty good cuz it was faster than my tc haha.

Yeah, I saw the Vortex water to air back then as well (2002). That is probably the best option out there.

I did not know how the 2003/04 Cobra intercoolers worked at the time - but I do now and they won't work on our SVO's.

Two IAC motors? Do you abandon one when this set up is used?

They make a block off plate if you’re using the stock TB. I’m not using neather IACs but special home made set up.

dang, you could cut and rotate that elbow, and it would fit exactly like stock...

I'm not sure of the construction / internals but wouldn't this benefit from some kind of insulation jacket? Sitting right above the turbo wouldn't it suffer from some of the same heat soak as the stock IC?

Stacy, I think I may have some high temp quilted blanket in my storage unit. If not I could probably come up with some as I know the guys who bought some of my old equipment. It would be just the blanket and you would need to make a pattern / cut / sew / bind it.

that's the purpose of having clear, icy, cold water running through it.
(we could use beer, Pat would drink it all before the first run)
