.32 is what the spec says. and if you try to run more boost, you'll blow the spark out.

Have mine at 28, Seems to work. I always check the gap just in case the yahoo at the store dropped the box.

Pat in LA set it straight. Wider gap for emissions, clean burn, narrow gap shorter travel to ground. Remember it's harder for that spark to go the distance with the boost at 16 + psi & 12:1 compression ratio. Pat what was that called again?

everywhere I've read it says .034, but I have to admit I didn't check them. At 6psi it shouldn't blow the spark out, but it's possible. I'll check both sets of plugs tomorrow. I run .025 in my GT just for that reason, but I use the iridium ones for that.

Eric where is the .032 listed at? Every plug I've seen for our cars shows .034

Out of the box the AGSF32c is between 34-and 42. I always regap before I put them in. I run 32-34 for normal driving. I run 40 for inspection time. So far the last 2 years I passed the sniffer.

that was just what was on my brain. I've seen it several places listed as .32 - .34, guess I just think .32 to keep the clutter down in my brain.

the spec on the emmissions sticker on the coil cover calls for .032-.036, so maybe that is where the info is coming from. I just gapped mine at .034 to be in the middle.
I have also read where a lot of folks go at .03o on there cars.

I'll check the gap on all the plugs I have later tonight.

.032 here........... 28psi never had a misfire. Run Live wire plug wires, stock autolite plugs, MSD coil, stock ignition or Mallory.

only thing I did last night was go back to the other plugs and this morning it seemed to still be the same.

just now at lunch I filled up with 87 octane again and on the way back to work it went right past 6psi with no hesitation. WTF?? I've heard of bad gas, but I use the same Chevron or Texaco each time and have for a very long time with no issues.

I understand you are trying to save money on gas, but 87 isn't a good source of fuel for a car on boost

what is the minimum octane for normal mode? I assumed that's what it meant.. low/high octane.

                            ($3.18 for 87 octane, $3.79 for diesel)

91 is probably the lowest I would go with.

Oh, and I don't recommend diesel

You don't really save much if any money running regular in a turbo car. The savings between the two is what $2 per fill-up? If anything it'd run better and get better MPG with premium and proper tuning. To each his own.
