Perfect amount of backpressure? Huh? I totally agree with Bud and can assure you that the "perfect" amount of backpressure against any turbocharger is ZERO. Work supplied to the turbine (which determines how much work it can do to the intake supply) is determined by the mass flow rate of the exhaust through the turbine, which is determined by the pressure drop across it. In any exhaust system, the pressure of the exhaust right at the tip is 0 psig, since it's exposed to the atmosphere at that point. To make the exhaust flow, the pressure has to be higher at the other end, so let's say your foot's on the gas, at some rpm. Due to losses in the piping, muffers, and cat, the pressure at the turbine exit might be, say, 10 psig. The turbo is extracting energy from the exhaust, so the pressure at the manifold side might be 30 psig. The energy available to the turbo is related to the difference; 30-10=20 psi. If you improve the exhaust system so that the 10 is reduced to 5, then you have 30-5=25 psi available to the turbo. Or, say the wastegate is partially open so that the drop across the turbo is still 20 psi; then the engine only has to push against 25 psi, not 30. Now, this difference in pressure MAY effect the overall tuning of the engine, but the EEC-IV computer will have it figured out before you get out of the exhaust shop's parking lot.

ok - I'm going to assume you're being honest (somewhere). You were asked if you worked for car-sound. You said

NO, but we have made stuff for them in the past.
Thats how I heared about them.
I do get hook ups from them though, exept on my svo system.
So which is it? Did you use to work for them or did/do you work for someone who supplies them? You see the contridictions in your replies?

Now - as far as PRODUCT REVIEWS. We have a special forum that's dedicated to NON-BIAS reviews of products that fit or can be used on a SVO. THAT is where your review of this product you're so happy about and want to share with the community should go...NOT a copy/paste in 3 different threads.

The FRIENDS thing ... we're all friends here - and will continue to be until you give use reason not to be friendly (especially me). I, personally, don't like people coming in this forum (with what looks like) attempting to feed our members bad information. I'm sure there's quite a few people who can testify as to how I earned the nickname "angry" Bud. But, I'll simplify it for you ... I don't like BS (kidding around excluded from the definition) and I can smell it a mile away.

I'm not booting you. I'm not asking you to leave. I'm just asking that you provide factual data or an UNBIAS opinion.

Sorry for the mix up. I worked with them on a special one off project, I was not an employee of theirs.

That's okay, Bud...I went to that website link and couldn't find a thing for an SVO, not to mention that it is not even listed there. Also couldn't find the part number that Adam posted....Maybe I'm just stupid, or can't read.......

So, anyway, I'd like to see it, so Adam....point the way?

I'm not here to make enemies, I'm here to seek out friends and better knowhow on a car that has the ability to bring us all together. Don't hate me for trying to help. If you don,t ever want me here again just let me know. But please be civil about it. Thanks
            OK Adam...

Your user screen name has been suspended (iow, booted the %$#& out-a-here). As I just found out the truth behind YOU, Car-sound, and Magna-flow.

            You work for Magna-flow.
            Magna-Flow is OWNED by Car-Sound.
You're here pitching products that are made by your company without contacting the administrators first.
You lied about it when I asked you directly if you worked for the company who's products you were pushing.

            End result = BOOTED.

BTW everyone - here's Adam's signature. It was edited so he doesn't continue to receive FREE publicity on our forum. Notice who he works for ...
