The photo is a four lug but I bought the five lug version for the '05+ Mustangs. The total including lugs, valve stems and shipping was under $450. I wanted to stay 16" because my tires only have a couple of thousand on them. And 16" tires are *way* cheaper than the 17 inchers out there.

You should have bought only 3 and picked up the one I have listed in the classifieds and saved a few bucks
....or if you want a spare one cheap
.
I didn't think they made these specific for the S197 though....

Good question....the car I had a set on used SN95 brakes from a '94 GT....SO I took it out in the shop and grabbed an SVO rotor and no go! It does not fit as the hub of the rotor hits the edge on the rim that retains the center cap. So No, it does not fit the stock SVO rotor.Originally posted by 835.0RS View PostSVOPAUL,
Does this wheel fit / clear the front hub on the SVO? We have 16" wheels from a 05 Mustang and they do not clear the front hub.

Thank you. We found exactly the same thing, and wondered if we were doing something wrong or if it was the style of factory wheel we were trying to use. They are off of a v-6 car with 16" factory multi-spoke wheels, I guess your basic standard wheel. I guess I don't fully understand because the factory 5 spoke wheels bolt right up to either one except they are 17" from a GT. The wonders of the Ford factory parts interchange system!

Different wheels fit and others do not....basically it boils down to the hub diameter on the wheels. I have machined the hub of the rotor to get some wheels to fit but that was long ago....anymore I convert just about everything to the SN95 brakes.

I think the only thing different is the offset. 37 vs. 15 for the SN95.Originally posted by SVOPaul View PostYou should have bought only 3 and picked up the one I have listed in the classifieds and saved a few bucks

These are *NOT* SN95 wheels. I ordered the 16" set made specifically for the '05+ Mustang.Originally posted by SVOeric View Postthey will fit over the hub fine, the problem is, the bearing cap will stick out, and the center cap won't fit on.
not to mention these are sn95 wheels, so they are going to stick out a bit.
There are no center caps with them and I'm not sure there are even any that will fit. Remember that these are an after market reproduction.
I received them last night but am not in position to test fit them. I have done some measurements though. The DTD guy was incorrect regarding the hub diameter, it's not 76mm. It's more like 71 or 72 but that's still room enough. The depth of the hub hole is 1.35" before it begins to narrow. The dust cap will not clear any center caps assuming I can find any. I'll have to see how much room I actually end up with. The offset on these is 37 instead of the 15 for the SN95's.

ahhh , It had been a while since I read the first post, forgot they were aftermarkets. I think everything else (about the center caps) is right tho. Do let us know how they.
I believe Lee Cleary made some center caps for a set of wheels, but not all of us have skillz like that.Eric C

Since a couple have asked I just weighed them. They come in at 18.5lbs.
I'll get decent pics in a few days, both on and off the car. Tomorrow I'm going to do a test fit of a wheel on a front rotor and report the results. My only concern is the depth of the hub area. If the wheel seats with no interference (as all my measurements suggest) I'll be happy. I can live without a center cap.Last edited by tateg; 03-19-2008, 08:51 PM.
