      • It works. If I can find my camera I'll take a couple of pics. Took a block of teflon, drilled a 15/16 hole in it for the sensor, drilled two holes through it for studs to mount it to the Pyropete bracket. Then cut it in half through the center of the sensor hole. Mounted the sensor block on the bracket, sandwiched the sensor between the two halfs, .045 from the crank trigger wheel. (range of adjustment .030-.060)

            • You really need the help of an electronics geek. Great start for a non electronics guy.

              • On Garth!!

Mitch, I can't tell you how excited I was to make the electrons flow. Next I'll try wiring the trim switches that can be used to add or subtract timing and fuel.

Scott is the electronics guy for the team, but I wanted to do this myself. "give a man a fish he eats for a day, teach a man to fish, he eats for a lifetime."

Its funny, I had him come over at 3:00 pm today to help me cause I couldn't seem to get it to work. I'd walked away from it on Friday night after having made some final adjustments. I didn't even check to see if they had worked. Today we fired up the computer, checked the settings I'd made on Friday and then I grabbed the breaker bar and started to turn the crank. Something wonderful happened, the fuel pump fired every tooth. That's the way its supposed to work and told me we had a crank trigger signal. Freakin awesome, everyday can be a voyage of discovery. I'm damn near 50 and I still get giddy as a kid when stuff like this happens.

                Life is good.

                • Awesome! Now lets get that pig dialed in & get some track time in.

I still feel you'll get your best results dialing in the car on some sort of closed track.

                      • 104 here today. Heat got here quick. The car is back together. I'll check it over tomorrow evening and fire it up. Then I'll put together the intercooler ducting.

                        • Fired her up. I spent a bunch of time last night entering a Fitzwater ignition map, and significantly cut down the prime pulse. Fired up immediately. Really nice. Working on the ducting now.

                          • Yes sir, working towards it. We're up at Thunderhill next weekend with the TW miata, running the course backwards. But I'll be working on the mustang most evenings.
