Ted, thanks for the pics. I think the guy that built it threw it together with the new parts that I sent him and did no other work to it. Looked like new bearings on an old crank. I've already spoke to Dixie Performance here in Mcdonough and they are going to magniflux and turn a crank for me. They build most of the engines for the monster truck teams and spacialize in 427 Cobra engines for Shelby Auto in Vegas.

So you are going for a 427 4-cyl this next build?? Just kidding, but that would be something, eh? You should have Dixie look at that crank and see if they can salvage with a light turning, which could get you something to be used with undersized bearings in a pinch. Might be worth a shot?

I'm going to take it and a spare crank that I have and let them see what they can do. If it can't be salvaged I'll make a lamp or something out of it.

          Hmm, adjustable wastegate? Nice.

Update, got my engine back friday. Started asembly this weekend. It had some major issues, crank had to be turned, block was line bored and cylinders honed. The rods were stuck on the pistons not letting them float, ie they would not move. Rings were gapped wrong, the aux shaft was never removed so it got new bearings. Complete head job with new cam bearings. I got it ballanced as well, should be good to go now.
