  • Leather Seat Kits

Anyone tried a leather seat kit from here:

Maybe we can get one of our Wisconsin (or Chi-town area) Bruthas or Sistas to go there and scope them out??

      I will check into it.

EDIT: I called and they are sending out a sample of color and material. They are also going to have past SVO customers contact me so I can get their feedback. So now we wait and see, I'll keep eveybody posted.

          Very.
I have a cloth interior, and it is in decent shape, but I would snag up a leather kit just to have something for the future if needed.......

HA...I drive past that place ever time I go to and from school. I'll see if I can make a trip down there after I get back from spring break.

That's a good price. I had a quote of 1000+ to get my fronts recovered with cloth.

Is there any kits made for the cloth?

That sounds way out of line.

BTW, an SVO leather seat includes just the seating surface in leather. The non seating surface is just vinyl. Several auto manufacturers were sued for false advertising through 1984-1986 for advertising leather seats after someone found that the non seating surfaces were vinyl.

Nope, nothing out there in a "kit". If you want to recover your cloth seats you will have to shop around for material. Be prepared to look all over the country for it. I got my center section from a company in Washington state.

Pat - maybe not.....if it included the material.

...and pay for it too. Ask DONCADE, he'll tell ya. The stuff he got is nice material.

Anyone from that area happen to check this out yet? It would be cool to see if they have a kit that will work.

                          Kurt-

I emailed them and asked if they had any pics available. I also asked for a fabric sample. I'll update with their response.

Btw, I like their prices, considering that my local guy wants $1600.00 to do the seats.

The Turbo Trans Am crowd has unique seats also, and I've yet to hear anyone gripe about the quality of the JAX covers. They seem to be a straight up outfit.

well the word 'vinyl' concerns me. i do know that years ago the front seat leather from e&g was right at 600.00. as far as i am concerned they had the best in the country. anybody who has bought a new car/truck with leather can tell what the cost is over the cloth. with that being said the original cloth is getting gone if it isnt already. any you can find is going to be very pricey.
also remember that all the leather/cloth materials patterns etc, are ford proprietary items and ford has never authorized duplication to the best of my knowledge.
