I originally bought my 1986 SVO with the intention of
using it as a canyon commuting daily driver. That lasted until I showed the car at a local
cruise night. Early in the project, I decided to do the car in the
"RestoMod" style. This allowed me to maintain most of the original appearance
and features unique to the SVO, while freely upgrading the motor and suspension
components. The car is used primarily as a weekend car, and is shown about 2 or 3
times a month. It does see the canyons about once a week, or when it needs exercise.
The car has been repainted in the original color (2A) and has cloth interior.
Dave has completed his Y2K
update. Dave has completly transformed his SVO engine compartment. This is one of the
nicest SVO engine compartments that I have ever seen. I am sure that you will agree also.

Future Modifications:
The nice thing about RestoMod cars is they're never done.
Future projects include a 3" Single exhaust (loose the duals), Cross-drilled rotors,
Another round of motor upgrades, etc. My biggest problem is I just don't have room
for another SVO at this house! |
