Well I finally got around to doing some prep work on the car today. Stripped some items out of the engine bay and stripped the back hatch that came off the totaled 86 1C.

        Get'r Dun!

You don't have to strip down to bare metal though.
        Are you a painter?

              You're awesome!
Do you have all the parts you need? Let me know if you require anything.

Wish you were closer to help you on this project. All I can say is get in there and get dirty!
              Looks good so far.

I decided this morning not to rush the 85 1/2 and to go ahead and freshen up the engine for the new head. I will order rods for it in the morning. I need all the encouragement I can get, pack your bags and come on down.

It's too much work. You'll regret it.
Actually the 85 1/2 is stripped down even more! When Pat arrives in a couple of weeks he may be sorry!

It's not as thorough a job as your project , just a nice every day driver.

Be careful what you ask for. All I need is Food, Beer and Shelter.

                  Oh and the Interweb.

I have been on this project way too long and started back last week. I have been hiding from the project, just not comfortable with my skill set. But I have started back on the tedious part and may even get it done enough for some color. Starting with the passenger side, the rail is pretty straight, now to do the apron

Couple of other pics, I included a pic of the aprons, one stock and one of the last available replacements from Ford. The Ford did not have all the holes and had holes in the wrong place. It took a while to get the right part.

Looking good Tony. Are you planning on pulling out the D/S frame rail to remove the "krinkles"?

Yes, but I need to finish the passenger side first. I still have a little more dressing on the side to do and I need to finish the top of the rail by the strut tower. Pretty satisfied with the rest of the rail.

I moved the car tonight to get better access for working out the kinks on the drivers side.
