      Nice!
17 mo? It only took me 2 weeks to paint the blue car. Maybe Blue lays down faster?

Got most of the parts ready for painting, ie the bumpers, splats(thanks Mitch!) fenders again, hood and rear deck lid ready last Friday. Primered the doors and fenders again in prep for paint. Forgot to take out the door handles but primered anyway.....will take them out tomorrow.

If you take forever to paint your car be sure you store the parts where you don't loose them or bang them up!

Progress looks good Tony. How soon before the paint goes on? And what sort of paint are you using?

Did some more work on the doors this morning, got the door handles out and the doors final block sanded. The plan is to get the doors, hood, hatch and fenders done by this weekend. It will not make the Shelby show this year which was my plan. Maybe I can get it finished by the reunion?

As far as paint goes, the shop where the car is at mainly uses the Lesonal Paint System. I can use just about anything I want but I have been happy with it. Tonight I am going to finish stripping out the 1C, 7B, 1B and the 2R to paint all of the plastic in the interiors. I hope to have the majority of the interior painting done and reinstalled in 2 weeks.

Came in this afternoon and Brad had shot the fenders and doors last night, nice surprise! I will have to redo one of the doors though, after it was finished a big june bug landed right in the middle of one of the doors, bugger.

that color reminds me of indy Porsche red...
I had a 79 mustang painted that color, til it got t-boned... never liked red much after that.
My friends used to tell me I needed to turn that color off, or it was going to run my battery down.

No, definitely was a June bugger. I consider myself an ammature entomologist and have been collecting bugs since I was 9.

Where do I send the bill? Small unmarked denominations work well!

Normally JT I would agree, but that little bugger landed right in the middle of the door and proceeded to go marching! It was like a moth to a flame, Pat to Dewars! I'll see if I can get a better picture.

This is my third red car. My first was a 69 RoadRunner and the second was a 76 914, both much darker reds. And you are right about how bright it is. Need to find the switch!
