    More Info

Tell me again where you got the covers & Also, where did you get the gauge pods mounted in the dash. I am wanting to add more gauges to my 86 and that is a clean look in yours. I want one day to go back original with everything so I am also looking for interior spare interior parts so I can install gauges & a bolt in roll bar but later on I may want to pull the bar & gauges and go back original. Also where can I find matching Interior paint for the new spare interior parts? I have a 1986 1C Black outside & Grey Interior with Leather.

    Thanks,

P.S. Leaned mine out at Road Atlanta in December & burned 1 & 2. In the process of building new motor now also!! Precaution: Don't let your vacuum hose for the fuel pressure regulator come off!! Serious Damage may & will Occur!!!!!

The first post on this thread will give you the info for JAX - the seat cover manufacturer. I had the covers installed locally.

The guages are Auto Meter with angled trim rings (AUTO Meter as well) that where installed into the stock bezel.

SEM paints has a color that matched the interior color - #15303 Graphite I think.

Graphite is close- BUT if you go to you local auto paint shop and go through their books you can have the factory color code pulled and they will mix you an exact charcoal match in a pint or quart etc..... SEM is definitely the way to go- I have one SVO in graphite and another with the factory paint code (mixed for me) and you can see a slight difference- but it is very minimal. I did my FHP car in Opal grey that way too. Amazing matches and very durable if you prep it according to their instructions.

            seats

well i just talked to jax about seat cover replacement for our leather cars. i only wanted the rear seat cover asi have nearly new e&g on the front.
while it would be nice to have what is apparently the same material used by e&g my rear seat is extra nice and does not need to be replaced. i was informed that their seat covewr kits are sold only as a set(front and rear together). so if you only want one end or the other you will apparently need to look elsewhere.

              Bob,

I am only interested in the Fronts...as I want to do a rear seat delete.......maybe we can go in on a set together...

              How much is a set?

Seats looks great! I really don't care that its not a 100% exact, close enough if you ask me! I'll be ordering a set in the spring for my SVO.

I saw the seats at point-blank during the reunion.

If you know what to look for, and really are hardcore about correctness, then they are not what you want.

But I really wouldn't care about all that myself, as I thought they looked just plain SEXY!! Nice car Ron!!!!!!!

Thanks, they are not correct but they are nice covers. The toughest part seems to be getting someone to do the diamond pattern instead of round holes. But since my car is not contours by any stretch I guess it doesn't much matter.

Next year I need to get to the show and shine earlier. I see pictures posted of so many things I somehow missed.

um hum -- I think next year there will be a cut-off -- if you havn't shown at the show by say 10:30, you aren't eligible for door prizes.

                          seats

i think that i said this earlier in this thread. the pattern in the original leather, the cloth seat insert and the bolester are ford proprietary items. to the best of my knowkedge ford motor co has not allowed them to reproduced

at one time, I know it was being reporduced. The E&G kits were VERY close, you had to have a VERY sharp eye to tell the difference between those and stockers.

I got one of the last E&G sets made and wish I had known they were going to stop. Nobody at E&G mentioned they were calling it quits when I ordered it. I would have gladly bought another 3 or 4 sets just to boost their sales if that was the reason they stopped. I still haven't installed it and I guess it will wind up in the 7B someday.
