does anyone make the 84's ? I'm a bit disappointed in the ones shows but i must admit they are close to oem. Material looks a bit more thick and sturdy but i like the oem glossy ones. my 84's are good overall just the part of the piping is starting to get worn out
I just got swatches from JAX and graphite seems quite a bit darker than the stock seat color. They have a grey, or dark grey I forget, that seems closer. I'd like to order a set but the graphite just seems too dark. Has anyone gone with the grey?
Hello,
According to my guides 1984 - 1986 SVO's all had the same seats in them. If I am wrong please let me know as we are offering 84-86 as the same seats.
Man every year I tell myself that I'm going to go but something always comes up. Right now I have our kitchen gutted and am frantically working to get it back together before my wife packs up and leaves.
Now don't get me wrong, I thought about saying screw the kitchen and going to the reunion. That would free up my time for future reunions since my wife would be out of the picture but the problem is she has already warned me that if she goes so do my toys and money so I'm screwed either way! Oh well there's always next year.
jkboyd, just bring her along, how can she complain if you are both enjoying a trip together! Besides, I am sure Bonnie (Pat's boss) can keep her occupied at the local shops in KY.
I installed these in my 86 last month. Qualiy is superb, but keep in mind that the back seats are not a perfect reproduction. The pattern on the outside edge of the backrest is slightly different than stock. I will look to see if I have pics, if I don't I will take some tonight and post them.
Having said that, when I got my swatches, I thought the L905 was the right color, but when I actually got them, they were a shade of two darker. I don't know if the L900 would be better or not, I don't remember - they sent me three examples, and I don't remember the third.
One shade darker or not, having new seat covers in the car (along with Bob Tweedy's steering wheel) makes a world of difference. When you think that most of the time you are driving your car, not looking at it, a nice interior goes a long way...
Attached is the L905. Even though it is a shade darker, it still looks good, compared to everything else. It isn't that far off. But, if you look at the outside of the passenger side back seat, and compare it to stock, you'll see the differences.

Are you talking about color of the leather being different or the stitching not correct as stock?
Either way, I agree - unless you're going for a concours correct leather kit - those are a sweet addition to the interior.
