      • I really want those mb's. What did you mean by not fit the rear, tire size or
        wheel size.

The MB Motoring Competition that are on the SVO now are 17x9 in +27 mm offset IIRC, with a 275 on the rear and a 255 on the front. They wouldn't fit my car without the rear fenders being cut out probably (that was done before I got the car), but would maybe fit a solid axle car without the fenders being cut.

        • is there any reason to have a bigger rim other than looks
and brake ventilation? i can understand wider but a bigger diameter rim?

          non-SN95 setup

You can fit larger brakes inside them. Our 16" rims won't allow much of a brake upgrade.

I mean, with IRS and this particular offset they will barely clear the fenders. IRS doesn't allow as much inboard room for tires.

Also, to jamman, bigger wheels allow a smaller sidewall for a given overall diameter, a smaller sidewall is more responsive and maintains the tire footprint more accurately.

              • I just bought a set of steedas 18*9.5 and they fit the hubs and they clear the irs mount. They stick out like a mofo but I plan on flairing the car so its all good here. Still have good clearance from the strut so I am very exited about my new aquirement.

                • I think I have seen a set of these on an svo. I just want to make sure they fit against the hub evenly with no modding or trimming. also do to the offset of the sn95 rim if bolted to a stock svo brake and suspension will they stick out or be fine and look right.. lastly I asume the center caps can't be used up front.

                  • Go on boston craigslist and type in Mustang Wheels for $750 , just wondering if they will fit without problems.

They are 17x9 in the front and 17x10 in the rear and when I say modification I mean hacking things up.

To answer your question no they won't fit unless you go wide body or with shorter fox length front control arms and rear axles, etc. This is assuming they are sn95 fitment which is what it says in the ad. In which case you already new the answer as it's been covered a bijillion times including threads you've posted similar questions in. Search button is your friend....

                      • Some local guy has these for sale:

Not sure on the finish yet but I think they'd look pretty good.
He says they are the universal 5 lug so they would be +48 offset and our 18x7.5. Now what would I need to do in order for those to fit properly?

                        • I had 17 konig rims on my 84 svo with 245/45/17 on the back and 225/45/17 on the front. Looked awesome but rubbed on big bumps in the back. Trashed the tires a little bit.

Nope, BMW 5 bolt pattern is 5x120mm. I had some nice BBS wheels off my old M3 that would've looked insane on my SVO. Would've been nice....
