I was mucking around tonight and found these online. They are an ASA AR1. They are spec'd for a 93 Probe GT. 17x8, 22.9lbs, 35mm offset. I think they'd look cool with a 245/45/17. $139 each.

Will these Wheels fit my SVO?

The larger the diameter, the harder it is to keep it light. I have seen 17x8" rims down to ~14.5 lbs, but a good lightweight rim would be somewhere between that and 20 lbs. Any pounds you can take off the rotating mass (i.e.- wheel) is a very good thing.
For reference: The stock 16x7" SVO wheel with a 225/50ZR16 BFG Comp T/A scales at 52 lbs, a 17x8" 96 Cobra wheel with a 245/45ZR17 Yoko A520 scales at 50 lbs, a 16x6.5" SVT Contour wheel with a 205/55ZR16 BFG KDWS scales at 39 lbs, a 17x7" Subie Legacy wheel with a 205/50ZR17 Yoko A82 scales at 44 lbs. These are wheels that I have personally weighed over the years.Ted

FYI...
I am finally happy to say that I got new tires yesterday. I have the 06 Split 5 spoke GT wheels that are 17x8.
Fronts - 225/45/17
Rears - 255/40/17
As you can see, I think they fit pretty nicely... I have Motorsport C Springs on the front and rear of the car. I also have Hotchkis Caster Camber Plates. Everything else is stock. From the 5 minutes that I have driven it, there have been no rubbing issues.
Also, as you can see...I did an amateur paint job on the wheels. I painted the center part of the wheel a graphite metallic grey color and left the lip polished. The only issue with the wheels are that I cannot put on the front center caps. I will cut out the center of the cap, so I can at least put on the outer part...(if that makes sense).Last edited by BlackSVO; 08-25-2007, 09:50 AM.Blake B.

I agree...that is why I bought these wheels without tires and then picked out the tires that I wanted for the stance that I wanted.
Here are some pics that I took this past weekend. I still may lower it about a half an inch front and rear. I don't seem to have any rubbing issues...it doesn't even look like it would rub if I lowered it.Last edited by BlackSVO; 09-08-2007, 04:26 PM.Blake B.
