Awesome! Do you have part numbers, and what you did to make things work? It looks like you used the factory SVO mounts. Did you?
Thanks.
Thanks pal, I'm going to make up another set and document what was done. In a nut shell, I ordered a pair of torques dampers from a vendor on Ebay. I posted a picture in this string. I then took them to my engine builder and disassembled them and had him shorten the longer shaft and I believe we removed 1.75inches. Then we had to tap a new hole to assemble the two shaft pieces. I'll document this with photos later. Inside the tube are 2 rubber bumpers and a plastic spacer (May be Teflon or Delrin not sure) I did need to cut 3/8 inch off the spacer and reassemble. To install them on the car I used the factory brackets, rubber bushings, and metric Grade 8-M10 Bolt and nuts. For the bottom I used a shorter Grade 8-M10 bolt with lockwasher. The factory bolt was too long.
Sorry I don't have finished instructions yet. These were prototypes. I was really pleased how the car's driveline feels more stable. Please bear in mind I have not tested these under racing conditions

More info coming soon
Thanks !
Rich
I forgot to add that it cost me with mod around $100.00. I just found a shorter version that I have ordered. I'll let you know how it goes.
Thanks, Rich. I'll be watching. I just ordered a bucket-load of more parts for the new autocross engine, so I'm in no hurry in the SVO corner of the shop at the moment. The next purchase there will be the seat covers, when they get made.
The dampers we have appear to be in good shape, I just want to know where to get backups, should the need arise. For ~$100, I'll probably grab a set and throw in the spares box, just in case.
My 7B is due to go off to paint in a few weeks. In the meantime I have started to have the original 7B motor completely rebuilt. I have to admit I wish I had known it was the original. It was hard to tell in the car because the numbers were stamped very lightly in the block. I wasn't able to tell until taking a wire wheel and cleaning it on the stand. At some point in the future ill switch it back. I will admit the new/rebuilt motor runs fantastic. I'll post pictures tomorrow.
Thanks for asking. The paint shop has been delayed and they are hoping to take it in this month. In the meantime I've been working on the Original Engine having it rebuilt. I've also invested in a car hauler and have been doing modifications such as adding a winch and custom tie down points. I'm going to have the glass removed before going to paint. In the meantime I enjoy driving it and putting miles on the work I've done. However, I want it shiny again
I am going to try and get mine in the paint shop next month as well. I am still waiting on my cylinder head from Boport so the engine is on standby. I would be willing to bet that I get the car back from the paint shop before I get my cylinder head. Anyway, it is nice to hear you are still making progress.
Definitely, will have many pictures. The wait to get in for the body shop was hard. They do fantastic work that's why the waiting list is long. It will be cool to watch the process. I removed a lot of trims myself. However, I prefer to let them pull the glass, change the fenders (one was a regular mustang the other had some rot. I was able to find 2 perfect SVO correct ones). They going to recheck all the datums and correct all the "shut lines" etc.
