OK, these arn't the best pics. My 03 came with the rusty looking flange on it. It's too large of a dia. to mate up with my driveshaft flange. The pic w/ the bolts in it is what does mate up with my driveshaft. There are two holes for pulling the flange (I assume). Note location of these in relation to the bolt mounting holes on the two flanges. The Cobra (?) flange is slightly larger. The PO called the flange I needed the "GT" flange. I don't know the new cars well enough to assume the current GT still uses our ol 1970s flange.

I swapped out the flange at the end of my aluminum drivehaft with one that mated up to the IRS
I paid 45 dollars from 'the driveshaft shop' for the correct piece
Ken I paid 600 dollars for mine it is an 03-04 unit (everything but the exhaust) picked it up in Detroit area
Before I installed mine I changed all the bushings to urethane the frame ones, the A-arms, and the pinionLast edited by roberto2000; 02-10-2009, 11:51 PM.Rob

many of the modular guys swapped the rear gears for a more rev-friendly ratio... esp. if they were of the drag racing crowd.'86 SVO (9L) SCCA autox car, "Sneezy"

e brake cable help needed
Questions for the IRS crowd...
1.. I got the IRS in there but the ebake cables would be happier if they were about an inch longer. Does anyone know, if the "J hook" (1/4-20 threaded rod between the handle and the cables) from the sn95 cars is any longer than ours? Is it even the same D shape and compatible?
2.. I didn't get the clips that hold the ebrake cables to the caliper. Are they IRS specific or the same on any sn95 up car? Are they a FLAPS part or am I headed to the dealer?
3.. Lastly, is there somewhere to hook up the little "squirely" ebrake cable hangers that are on the IRS cables or have folks omited them?
Thanks all! Mikey

Comments to my previous questions....
1. E-brake C clips are dealer items if you don't have them
2. SN-95s use a self adjusting brake handles with a dog bone, no J hook.
Easy question for y'all:
I had to get new IRS brake pad clips. They came in a set with the big clips. Do these have an application on the IRS rear caliper or are is this kit a multiple-vehicle application? I don't see where they'd fit.
thanks!

They go into the top of the caliper they push down on the pads .

Wrong Wrotors?
Guys, what's up with this? I'm getting frustraited. I ordered two Raybestos rotors (pn 66474PR&L) assuming that maybe they'd be a little better than chinese crap. Unfortantly, I tossed the old rotors a month ago. The outside dia. matched and they fit but appear to have too much surface area. The pads are Stillen and I verified their application. They're the same size as the orriginal. Do the new slot/drilled rotors have too much surface area? The pads don't cover the entire rotor. Is this common on newer brake systems? I've never seen it.
There's also a pic of the old rotors.
Can someone please stick a ruler on their rotor and measure the distance across the surface area for me please so I can compair to these? They were purchased through Rockauto and I'm not looking forward to returning them.
Last pic - Eric, is this your car? Do you have the same calipers on there as I do?
